James Chandler for 75th District Court Judge

Known by his friends and family as JD, James Chandler grew up in Liberty County, graduating from Hardin High School. While raising a family, JD worked in the oil fields and plants by day, attending law school at night.

After a stint practicing law in Houston, JD opened up his own firm here at home and has been practicing in Liberty, Chambers, Jefferson, and Harris counties for over 15 years.

As an attorney, James has practiced in all areas of the law that come before the 75th District Court – family law, property, civil, and criminal law.

James also runs several successful small businesses, chiefly in the trucking industry. He married his high school sweetheart, Monie Hard Chandler, with whom he shares four children.

“Every family in our county is affected in some way by our district courts. Whether you live in the South Liberty oil field or the country club, there should be equality across the board when you walk into that courthouse. With my personal and professional experiences, Liberty County citizens can expect that everyone appearing before me will have the rules applied fairly and that you will receive your day in Court,” Mr. Chandler said.

In what is sure to be a crowded field for voters to choose from on Election Day, Mr. Chandler said, “I respect every single one of my colleagues who have thrown their hat in the ring. I look forward to meeting even more people across the county over the next several months and earning your support.”
